Technology Protects. People Care.
We built ALISE because safety should never replace compassion — it should enhance it.
ALISE Systems was created by senior-living professionals who were tired of seeing preventable falls and frantic middle-of-the-night calls. We partnered with StackCare, the leader in passive-sensor technology, to create a human-backed service that detects early risk and responds in real time.
Because behind every alert is a life — and that deserves a human touch.
OUR MISSION: Safety That Feels Human.
Nothing matters more than knowing your parent is safe at home.
Our mission is to give families peace of mind while helping communities deliver safer, smarter, and more cost-effective care.
We honor independence, dignity, and privacy — empowering older adults to live well at home and in their communities.
“Families were frustrated. Staff were overwhelmed. Seniors felt watched instead of respected. We needed something that fit real life and actually worked.”
OUR STORY: How ALISE Began
We didn’t start ALISE because we had investors. We started it because we had stories — of falls that could have been prevented and families who deserved to sleep through the night. After years in senior-living operations and regulatory roles, we knew technology alone wasn’t enough.
It had to be paired with human response — and that’s where ALISE was born.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE PROMISE
Joyce Aquino, Founder
“Technology should never replace compassion — it should enhance it.”
Born in Pennsylvania to Filipino parents who valued education and service, Joyce grew up watching compassion and excellence go hand in hand. That foundation shaped her life’s work.
Over the years, she’s led senior living communities across California, Arizona, and Hawaii — first as a Nurse Director, then as a Divisional Nurse, and eventually as a Regional Operator. No matter the title, her purpose has always been the same: to protect older adults and make care better for everyone involved.
ALISE was born from that same belief — that technology should support caregivers, not replace them, and that peace of mind begins with human connection.
Angel Ascencio, Co-Founder
“Compliance and compassion can coexist — ALISE proves it every day.”
Born in California to values-rooted Hispanic parents, Angel grew up with a deep appreciation for compassion, integrity, and respect for elders. His journey in senior care began on the front lines — as an Activities and Memory Care Director, where he witnessed both the joy and the challenges of caring for older adults.
Later, as a California DSS Licensing Program Analyst, he gained a rare perspective on what truly keeps residents safe and communities compliant.
With experience on both sides — as operator and regulator — Angel helped shape ALISE with one guiding belief: that safety and dignity must always go hand in hand.
A Message From Our Hearts
“We built ALISE because we’ve been there — the long nights, the staff shortages, the fear of missing something important. We believe technology can empower care, but it’s people who bring compassion and context.
Every time a community avoids a fall or a daughter sleeps better because of our alerts, we know we’re fulfilling our mission.”
